The Baby Boomers vs. The Millennials

In my PPD 245 class, we are discussing a very interesting topic. After WWII, the Baby Boom generation moved from the cities out to the suburbs. They did this in an effort to start families in a more spacious and affordable environment. However, now, the Millennial generation is moving from the suburbs back into the cities. The individuals within the Millennial generation are tending to get married later and prefer to be in the city-centers for a more entertaining, social, and exciting lifestyle. I know that I prefer living in the city compared to the suburbs. I grew up in Sherman Oaks, CA and moved to West Hollywood about 5 years ago. Living in the city is far more energetic and lively, which as a kid growing up, I enjoy. I also live way closer to nightlife events making my home far more convenient. Overall, while growing up, I want to be in a city-center. When I get older and start a family, I might want to be in a more relaxed suburb. However, I am satisfied at the moment.
